Thecompositionofthedressingsisbasedonpolyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),polyethyleneglycol(PEG),andagar.Theelectron beamirradiationtechniquehasbeenusedtopreparehydrogelwounddressings.Theinvitrobiocompatibilityofthehydrogel wasinvestigatedbychecksamples(hydrocolloidComfeel),antibacterialtest(Staphylococcusaureus,Staphylococcusepidermidis, Pseudomonasaeruginosa,EscherichiaColik12),antifungaltest(CandidaAlbicans)andcytotoxicitytest(FibroblastL929).Results haveshowncellattachmentcharacteristicsandnontoxicityofallsamples.Antibacterialtestingalsoshowedthattheantibacterial e?ectofthehydrogelsampletothechecksampleincreasedto30%.Also,investigationofantifungalanalysisdidnotshowany traceoffungigrowthonthesurfaceofthehydrogel,whereasantifungale?ectdidnotobserveonthesurfaceofthechecksample.
