Ananalysis iscarried outtoobtain thesimilarity solution ofthesteady boundary layer?owand heat transfer of asecond grade through ahorizontal cylinder. The governing partial di?erential equations along with the boundary conditions are reduced to dimensionless form by using the boundary layer approximation and applying suitable similarity transformation. The resulting nonlinear coupled system ofordinary di?erential equations subject totheappropriate boundary conditions issolvedbyhomotopy analysismethodHAM.Thee?ectsofthephysicalparameters on the ?ow and heat transfer characteristics of the model are presented.
