Mostofthecasesofdentalimplantsurgery,especiallythebonedefectextensively,areessentialforalveolarridgeaugmentation.As knownascelltherapyexertsvaluablee?ectsonboneregeneration,numerousreportsusingvariouscellsfrombodytoregenerate bonehavebeenpublished,includingclinicalreports.Mesenchymalcellsthathaveosteogenicactivityandhavepotentialtobe harvestedfromintraoralsitemightbeacandidatecellstoregeneratealveolarbone,evendentistshavenotbeenharvestedthe cells outside of mouth. This paper presents a summary of somatic cells in edentulous tissues which could subserve alveolar boneregeneration.Thecandidatetissuesthatmighthavedi?erentiationpotentialasmesenchymalcellsforboneregeneration arealveolarbonechip,bonemarrowfromalveolarbone,periostealtissue,andgingivaltissue.Understandingtheirphenotype consecutivelywillprovidearationalapproachforalveolarridgeaugmentation. 1.Introduction Although bone augmentation is mostly fundamental to elderly,theyunfortunatelyfollowtoedentulouspatientsin agingsociety.Thus,thispaperfocusesonadultmesenchymal cells that could be able to expand from edentulous jaw. Figure1 shows the tissues we describe in this paper by sectionalschemeofedentulousalveolarridge. For increasing the success rate of implant surgery, various
