High sensitivity C-reactive protein value in the sub-type of cerebral infarction etiology Author: Zhang Lei Liu Guangqin Teng Jijun Zhang Chen [Abstract] Objective To explore the super-sensitivity C-reactive protein (Hs CRP) levels in the different causes of cerebral infarction patients and its value in the diagnosis of the cause. Methods acute cerebral infarction patients through recorded history, and related auxiliary examination , according to TOAST etiology of TOAST and improved typing methods to classify, and compare the two typing methods various types of composition of the various patients of Hs CRP level. results of patients with acute cerebral infarction according to the TOAST classification, LAA type up ( 39.4%), followed by the SAD-type (30.9%), the type of SUD (23.9%), the CE-type (3.9%) type of SOD (1.9%); according to the modified TOAST classification, the AT most common type (58.3%), then followed by the SAD-type (21.6%), SUD-type (15.1%), the CE-type (3.1%) of SOD type (1.9%) improved SUD type to reduce a significant increase in the AT-type two kinds of typing methods various types of patients of Hs CRP levels was significantly higher (F = 27.64,25.32, q = 4.06 to 12.61, P lt;0.01), cerebral infarction in the CE type of Hs  CRP levels were significantly higher than the other types, the LAA significantly higher than the SAD-type or AT (q = 2.90 ~ 9.27, P lt;0.05, 0.01). Conclusions The modified TOAST etiology of type to a more comprehensive manner with cerebral infarction were classified reduce the unexplained cerebral infarction patients. of Hs CRP levels were significantly different in the different causes of cerebral infarction, typing one of the bases can be used as a cerebral infarction etiology.
