Methods: First the status quo of current the hospitals drug storehouse management (DSM) will be looked into by breaking down the management procedure. Then the research will focus on the step of automatically generating drug procurement plan. In this way, the DSM system model will be designed in order to digitalize all the steps such as procurement plan generation, issuing, checking and storing, electronic invoice import, electronic requisitions, electronic stock-taking, goods allocation management and data statistic analysis. Results: It will promote the informationization of the hospitals DSM and extend and supplement the original HIS systems scope and functions. Conclusion: With the help of the advanced fully digitalized storehouse management model, drug management can be modernized and systematized and bring more economic and social benefits to the hospital.
