What the setting expects of the children and the staff . What methods will be used to manage children’s behavior. Which behavior are not acceptable. How parents and carers will be informed and consulted. Any training that staff can access. SENCOs and inclusion A SENCOs has several responsibilities, which include supporting other team member, meeting with parents and carers and other professionals,and observing children. The Code of the Identification and Assessment of children with Special Education Needs The graduated approach is basically in three stage--- 1. Early years action 2. Early years action plus or school action plus 3. Producing a statement of special education needs Medical or diagnosable condition that may have a direct influence on behavior Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome Dyspraxia Fragile x Tourette’s Syndrom Working with outside agencies and other professionals Primary health care team School health services Sure start Family centres Other professionals Developing successful working relationships with other professionals There are several things that you can do make sure that any relationships that you develop with other professionals are sound ,effective and will untimately benefit the child. Be professional. Share information. When attending meeting where you are asked to contribute ,it is a good idea to make notes beforehand. Avoiding using jargon. Take p
