SynthesisandPhotocatalyticAbilityforWaterSplittingonCo3O4NanoparticlesAbstractInrecentyears,withtheincreasinglyseriousenergyshortageproblem,hydrogenproducedfromphotocatlyticsplittingwaterhasattractedmuchattention.Narrowbandgapsemiconductorcobaltoxidecausedmuchattentionbecauseofitsexcellentphysicalandchemicalpropertiesinthephotolysisofwater.Butduetoitspreparationtechniquesareoftenmorecomplexandthepreparationprocessisunacceptableforenvironmentpollution,itisdifficulttoindustrialize.Herein,weusedafacileandsimpleone-potcarbonassistedmethodtoproducethecobaltoxidenanoparticleswithuniformmorphologyandhighphotocatalyticactivitywithoutanypollution.Thecobaltoxidenanoparticleswerepreparedviadegreasingcottonwhichwasregardedasdispersantandcarbonsource.TheCo(NO3)2wasregardedasthecobaltsourceandthentheprecursorwasannealedintheoxygenatmosphereathightemperature.Theinfluenceofannealingtime,temperature,thedegreasingcottonandfinallythemechanisminpreparationofCo3O4wasanalyzed,respectively.Aseriesofcharacterizationtechniques,suchasSEM,TEM,XRDandothertestmethodswereemployed.Thecharacterizationresultsshowthatwhenthetemperaturewas600℃whilethecalcinationtimewas2h,andthedegreasingcottonwasadded,wecansuccessfullypreparetheCo3O4nanoparticlewithca.50nm,ahighspecificsurfaceareaandbroadabsorptionspectrum.ThroughFouriertransforminfraredspectroscopyresults,wecangettheresultthatthedegreasingcottonplaysanimportantroleintheprocessofpreparationofCo3O4.TheoptimalamountofCo3O4forphotocatalytichydrogenproductionwasresearched.AndthenthephotocatalyticpropertiesofCo3O4wastested,thetestresultsshowthattheresultantCo3O4hashigherphotocatalytichydrogenproductionactivitycomparedtoCo3O4withoutadditionofdegreasingcotton.FinallyevenundervisiblelightorpurewatertheCo3O4stillhasphotoctalyticabilityforhydrogenandthephotocatalysthasadecentperformanceonrecyclingability.Keywords:Degreasingcotton,Co3O4nanoparticles,photocatalytic,hydrogen目录第一章绪论...................................................................................
