Chinese schools have made a great contribution to the education of Chinese. With the in-depth teaching, Chinese teaching materials overseas highlights a number of problems, such as the difficulty and the lack of pertinence This is not conducive to the further development of Chinese language education. This research objects in Han Yu, which is one of the mainstream Chinese textbook series in Thailand, the author uses qualitative and quantitative method to research the textbook layout, text content, text structure and the quantity, grade and arrangement of its text, vocabulary and grammar. The recommendations of the Chinese teaching materials overseas are given in the appropriate sections. All in all, this study is aiming at providing a reference for the compilation of Han Yu series and localization of Chinese teaching materials overseas.
