Translation is used in many fields, it requires criterion and high accuracy, so it’s valuable to conduct research and discussion on it. In this case, the translator studies the translation of a book named Sustainability in Interior Design. A band of pioneering designers around the world already leads the way of sustainable interior design. Their work demonstrates how sustainability can be incorporated effectively in interiors, without compromising aesthetics or design quality. This book aims to equip and inspire other designers to follow suit. A Sustainable approach suggests how to go about designing to achieve sustainable results. This involves being willing to compromise, foreseeing the consequences of design choices, asking oneself key questions and using design assessments. The writer explores the problems encountered in the process of translation of the book named Sustainability in Interior Design and trys to find some translation skills that suit the source text such as Sustainability in Interior Design. There are examples that illustrate the classified translation skills. As the translator finished the translation, it’s found that translation skills such as deletion, addition and transmission are useful in the translation of texts such as Sustainability in Interior Design. Of course, enhancing the basic skills of Chinese and English languages and knowing something about everything are essential.
