《诗经》的方位文化研究《诗经》的方位文化研究 PAGE PAGE 2 Summary Academics research in the field of cultural of the The Book of Songs has made some achievements, but there is worth further exploration, and the cultural orientation in The Book of Songs is one of important aspects that needs to explore. This paper, mainly on the superstructure such as music and literature, moral customs, political system and so on,and with the general living space for the extension, aims to reveal a cultural connotation of orientation discourse. In this paper, research on the cultural orientation makes use of three methods: intensive reading, classification and comparison, analysis and summary. The paper is divided into three chapters: The first chapter discusses about the left-right, up-down orientation discourse and its cultural implication in the The Book of Songs. Its research contents mainly dear with (1) the left-right referring to “assist-aid”;(2) the left-right referring to inferiority and superiority, auspiciousness and inauspiciousness;(3) the left-right used in the military;(4) the “up-down” implying the relative order and stable implication. The second chapter discusses about the east-west, north-south orientation and its cultural connotation of words in the The Book of Songs. Its research contents mainly dear with (1) the east-west referring to the inferiority or superiority, good and bad, life and death like the left-right;(2) ideas that people advocating of the “south” ;(3) the orientation cultural implication of “the eastern gate”、 “the east mountain”、“the south mountain”、“the south acre”、“the northern gate”and “the north mountain”. The third chapter discusses about the inside-middle-outside, Quartet orientation and its cultural connotation of words in the The Book of Songs. Its research contents mainly dear with (1) the inside-middle-outside containing the scope of the geographical and cultural connotations;(2) a mature concept of the “Quartet” developed in the The Book of
