Methods: select 60 patients with type 2 diabetes, random observation group of 30 cases and control group 30 cases. Observation group was given radix bupleuri liver combined therapy with metformin hydrochloride, usage: radix bupleuri liver powder, water decoction, a dose, twice a day, each 200 ml; Metformin hydrochloride, 500 mg orally, 3 times/day. The control group only take metformin hydrochloride, 500 mg orally, 3 times/day. After 3 months, observe two groups of symptoms and signs of improvement; Summary of two groups of fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin before and after the treatment and the change of blood lipid, evaluation of radix bupleuri liver powder is effective and safety. Conclusion: in 60 cases of patients, the group in age, sex, course of the disease, clinical syndromes comparable, after 3 months of treatment, the treatment group and control group in serological indexes, with significant difference (P 0.05); In improving clinical symptoms, there was significant difference (P 0.05).
