Methods The ethanol extraction technology was studied by using orthogonal experiment, with content of Tanshinone ⅡA and Paeoniflorin as research index. Four factors were investigated including the concentration of ethanol, the volume of ethanol, the extraction time and the number of extracting times. Results The optimum condition of ethanol process for Pushaoqianliexianyan Capsules was that the crude herb powder was extracted by 3 times with 6-fold 80% ethanol for 1 hour. Conclusion The optimized process can be used for enlarged production with good repeatability and stable quality in samples. 　　[Key words] Pushaoqianliexianyan Capsules; Tanshinone ⅡA; Paeoniflorin; Extraction technology; Orthogonal design 　　慢性前列腺炎（chronic prostatitis，CP）是中青年男性的常见病、多发病，该病症状复杂，病程较长，且容易复发，严重影响患者的身心健康[1-2]。蒲芍前列腺炎胶囊系在研的新药，是由土茯苓、蒲公英、牛膝、丹参、赤芍、红花等十味中药组成，具有清热利湿，活血通淋之功效，用于慢性前列腺炎（属于湿热下注证者）[3-4]。该制剂是治疗前列腺疾病的师传经验秘方，经30多年临床实践，吸收现代医学新成果，不断总结与改进，形成被临床许多病例验证取得满意疗效的复方制剂。 　　在蒲芍前列腺炎胶囊中，丹参、赤芍和红花需要乙醇提取脂溶性有效成分，且丹参及赤芍的用药量在本方中最大，是该药处方中的主药。为此需要对乙醇提取技术条件进行优选，以提高提取效率，最大程度获取丹参及赤芍的有效成分，发挥蒲芍前列腺炎胶囊的药效。在现有的研究中[5-6]，通常只
