At present ，it has been identified as one ofthe next gcncration mobile communication standard technique. However，due to its orthogonal multicarricr parallel data transmission ，there 町e two major disadvantages: Peak-to-Average Power ratio (PAPR) and deviation sensitive. OFDM signal which has higher PAPR wiU seriously affect the efficiency of power amplifier，it will have severe distortion when the peak signal through the linear amplifier. Therefore，也is paper was taking the research of OFDM signal optimization technique，that is reduce the signal PAPR . The paper firstly introduces the basic theory of OFDM technology，the key technology of OFDM system，the advantages and disadvantages of OFDM system. Analysis the re臼onofPAPR in the OFDM system and its inf1uence on the systems perfo盯nance. And than the paper introduccs 由e defmition of PAPR and measure the performance of PAPR.Detailed introduces the three classical PAPR suppression methods: signal preliminary distortion method ，coding class methods， probability class methods. We summarized the basic principle of various methods，the PAPR inhibition performance ，bit eηor rate，computational complexity and contrast analysis the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of technology. Then，we do further research on Tone Reservation (TR) algorithm and Partial Transmit Sequences (PTS) algorithm.
