Six sigma method, as one of those, has changed the method of supplying product and service systemically and will bring great impact on more and more enterprises. This article studies the six sigma management theory, probes into the practice of six sigma management, points out the successful factors, problems and shortages, analyzes the opportunities and threats faced by Harbin Aviation Industry Group Corporation(HAIG), and then works out the strategy of thorough application of the six sigma management in HAIG, finally prospects the future of the application of six sigma management in HAIG. This article provides material cases in order to give beneficial references for the promotion of six sigma management in domestic enterprises. This article first elaborates the background and significance of application of six sigma management in domestic enterprises, tracks back to the beginning, developing, promoting and studying history of six sigma method, and puts forward the study content and skeleton of this article. Second, this article studies the connotation and theoretical characteristics of six sigma management, points out its essence and benefits brought by the application of six sigma management. Third, this article recalls and summarizes the application procedures of six sigma management in HAIG, analyzes the successful elements, current status and existing problems.
