The results showed that for suburban rural tourism communities which were closer to main urban area, the impact of urbanization was more obvious, while tourism development had weaker impact on their fundamental facilities, environmental hygiene and community security, for communities of longer distances to main urban area, the impact of tourism development was stronger in those aspects mentioned above. Based on the comparative analysis of the data, several relevant suggestions were put forward for the development of suburban rural tourism communities.
