Module 9 Unit 1 Turn left! 教案 1 教学目标 Get the children can listen, speak, read and write the following words: left, go straight on, right, West Lake Road, excuse me, East Lake Road, factory. Children can ask about the way to some destination with the following expressions: Turn left! Turn right! Go straight on! Where do you live? Go out of the school. You go past the factory. Then you turn right. Can say the chant ‘Left Foot’. Cultivate the children’s spirit of helping others. Stimulate the children’s interests of communicating in English. 2 学情分析 This module serves as a link between M8 Positions and M10 Places. After the basis of M8, most children have grasped some position prepositions and adverbs. And if the children can ask about the way freely in this module, they will find places in module 10 continuously and easily. 3 重点难点 重点 Target language: Turn left! Turn right! Go straight on! Where do you live? Go out of the school. You go past the factory. Then you turn right. Vocabulary: left, go straight on, right, West Lake Road, excuse me, East Lake Road, factory. Chant: Left Foot. 难点 Talk about and find the most reasonable way. 4 教学过程 活动 1【导入】1 导入 Warmer 1. Play the song ‘Shake, Shake, Shake’ from M8 on the cassette. 2. TPR. T plays some commands Stand up. Sit down. Point to the window. Clap your hands… 活动 2【讲授】2 呈现 Presentation 1. Lead-in Continue the TPR activity with Turn left. Turn right. Go straight. Guide the children to listen and do. Elicit the meaning of the 3 verb phrases. 2. Introduce the text. T: Today, Sam wants to visit his friend. Do you know where he is going? But he doesn’t know how to go. Let’s listen and help him. Text 1. Play the dialogue on the cassette. 2. Ask questions about the text. Where is Daming’s flat? How does Sam go? At last, where‘s Sam? 3. Play the cassette again and pause after each utterance. 4. Divide the Ss into 4 groups that represent the characters in this tapescript. 5. Get the children to act out the dialogue in groups of 4.
