Guide students to write journalistic articles. 教学过程(表格描述) 教学环节 主要教学活动 设置意图 Before-reading The teacher shows a movie clip of Star Treck, whose famous line is the title of our lesson: “Space: The Final Frontier”. 通过电影经典台词导入主题，激发学生学习兴趣。 While-reading 1st reading Task 1: Read for the layout. Students read the article and match the headings with the paragraphs. Students summarize the layout of journalistic articles. 学生通读全文，通过段落标题连线，总结新闻类文章的结构。 While-reading 2nd reading Task 2: Read for the information. Students read the article paragraph by paragraph. (1) Read Para. A and figure out the meaning of the title Space: The Final Frontier. (2) Read from Para. B to Para. E and find out the main events about space. While checking the answers, students watch some video clips to extend their background knowledge about space. (3) Read Para. F and draw the conclusion. 2.
