Show ss a picture about themselves when they take running exercise in the early morning. Ask ss to make a conclusion about the benefits of working out in the morning. Ss: Ss have already previewed the article Benefits of working out in the morning and are expected to finish the following chart: Working out in the morning Benefits 1. 2. 3. 4. One of the students will be invited to summarize the benefits of working out in the morning. Ss: Read Kayla’s story and answer the following questions: What did Kayla use to worry about? What did she do to solve that problem? Did that work? What changed her? How did she change? (the chart) The past The present Ss are expected to read the whole article individually and silently. They are supposed to find out the answers by themselves and then share with their partners in each group. T: Walk around and give necessary help. Invite some ss to show their answers to each question.
