Teaching Objectives: Knowledge Objective: 四会单词:holiday Christmas bring invite give song,掌握动词的用法。 Ability Objective:提高英语阅读与理解能力,能够用英语表达介绍所学节日。 Emotional Objective:了解中西方文化差异,增加学生们的爱国意识。 Important and difficult points: 四会单词并能够用英语表达与介绍所学节日。 Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Warming Up 日常英语问候交流,带入英语课堂。Hello everyone, how are you today? Show them some pictures of Chinese holidays, review their names and lead them to learn the new word: holiday. Step 2: Presentation According to the Chinese holidays, learn a western holiday: Christmas Scanning and skimming then answer questions: What is the holiday? What do we have ? Show their pictures, learn new words. We have a Christmas tree. We have Christmas lights. We have Santa. Then show them a picture of Santa, and introduce him to them. Who is Santa? He is a merry man in red clothes. He brings gifts. Learn the word:bring. bring sb sth or bring sth for/to sb What do we do? Use pictures on our books and we can see they invite friends and family to their house. They bring and give gifts. They sing Christmas songs. Learn new words: invite: invite sb to... give: give sb sth or give sth to sb song : sing a Christmas song What do people say? Merry Christmas When is it? It is December 25th. Step 3: Practice and Consolidation Fill in blanks: What is Christmas? Who is Santa? Step 4: Homework: Finish the practice in your textbook. Search more things about Christmas and share them next class.
