The aim of Business English is to equip learners with proficiency in foreign language and knowledge in business, which exactly consists in the times trend. Content-based instruction is an integrated approach to language instruction, providing a firm foundation for Business English. This thesis aims to explore the relationship between Content-based instruction and Business English and tries to achieve the purpose of improving Business English teaching. And in the recent years, China put forward the inter-disciplinary foreign language talents during the process of education reform in English major in tertiary schools (Dai, 2005). The inter-disciplinary talents, that is, people not only have good English proficiency but the specific knowledge. In order to consist in this times trend, many universities and colleges lay emphasis on setting the curriculum of Business English to equip learners with proficiency in foreign language and knowledge in business. Content-based instruction is an integrated approach to language instruction, providing a firm foundation for Business English. In CBI classroom, English is used as a medium to help learners obtain the relative content study.
