Methods:Through coulting the related documents and materials， The contents related to the treatment of COPD at home and abroad in recent yea， were collected and summarized. Results: External treatment of TCM can improve the clinical symptoms of COPD and the quality of life of patients. The mechanism may plays an important role in regulating immune function， inhibiting inflammatory reaction and regulating oxidation-antioxidation imbalance mechanism. Conclusion: External treatment of Chinese medicine will be an effective method for the treatment of COPD patients. Because of lacking a large sample of clinical multi center， iufficient evidence， artificial difference operator， and no uniform criteria for individual treatment standard and the curative effect， the development of external treatment of TCM will be limited， and it need to research in clinical treatment further。 Keyword： COPD; Mechanism; Acupoint Therapy; Acupuncture and Cupping; Iontophoresis; Inhalation of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 慢性阻塞性肺疾病是临床中的
