Unit 5 Famous People ——第一课时 南坝中学 张燕 教学目标 使学生能够听说读写本课词语:inventor, artist, scientist, poet, writer, American, French, Danish, poems, paint 等。 能够把所学词语运用到句型中,用一般过去时态描述一些名人:He was Chinese. He was a poet. He was good at writing poems.能够运用这些句型进行口语交流。 3.培养学生学习英语的兴趣。 教学重点 能够把所学词语运用到句型中,用一般过去时态描述一些名人:He was Chinese. He was a poet. He was good at writing poems.能够运用这些句型进行口语交流。 教学难点 这些名人的名字读音。 教学方法 小组合作学习法、图片教学法、 课前准备 1.教学录音。 2.教学课件。 3.名人图片。 课时安排 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming-up 1.课件展示图片,提问:Look, what’s she/he doing? She is writing. She is good at writing. She wants to be writer. 2. Brainstorming:提问:What do you want to be when you grow up? Inventor / artist/ scientist/ poet/ writer/ teacher/singer/ doctor/ driver/ farmer 3.课件展示Get ready主题情景图,教师手指这个情景图:“Look! There are some famous people. Who are they? Do you know them? Who can answer my question? OK, in this unit ,we’ll learn about famous people.本单元的主题是famous people名人。教师把词语写在黑板上,领读几遍。 Step 2 Presentation 多媒体展示第一张图片,师:Look, this is Thomas Edison. He was an inventor. He was American. inventor [?n?vent?(r)]发明家,冠词用an. American美国人,美国的,前面如果用冠词,也是an. 教师书写并领读单词,并把Thomas Edison.多领读几遍。 出示第二张图片:He was Xu Beihong. He was an artist. 他是一名画家。artist艺术家,画家。教师书写并领读。 3.出示第三张图片:He was Jean-Henri Fabre. He was a scientist. He was French.他是亨利·卡西米尔·法布尔。他是一名科学家。他是一名法国人。scientist科学家,French法国的,法国人,教师领读并书写单词。把法布尔的名字也要多领读几遍。 4.出示第四张图片,He was Li Bai. He was a poet. He was Chinese.他是李白,他是一个诗人。他是一个中国人。poet诗人。Chinese中国的,中国人。 5.出示第五张图片,He was Hans Christian Andersen.他是汉斯·克里斯蒂安·安徒生 He was a writer. He was Danish.他是一名作家,他是丹麦人。 同学们注意到了吗?所有这些句子用的都是什么时态?为什么? 6.播放词组,学生跟读。 7.学生自读词语,熟悉新词语,熟悉人名。 Step3 Practice 同桌两人一组使用各名人图片,相互说出词语。 小游戏:看谁猜得快。四人为一组,一名同学慢慢抽出一张名人图片,由上到下,其他同学迅速说出他的名字,职业和国家。 Step4 Presentation 1.播放57页录音内容,学生根据录音给图片标序号。全班一起订正答案。 2.教师播放课件,展示名人图片。教师讲解: What do you know about Li Bai? He was Chinese. He was a poet. He was good at writing poems. 句型:What do you know about...? He was
