20 90 ii ASPHALT PAVEMENT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE RESEARCH OF MEDIUM AND LOW TRAFFIC FLOW ABSTRACT Recent years, with the increasing of the traffic mileage and service life, road cause in our country is changing from the stage of fast construction to maintenance management. Asphalt pavement is the main pavement structure form in our country. But the early damage of asphalt pavement has become a burden of the maintenance job. After late 1990s, concept and technology of preventive maintenance has gradually imported to our country. Preventive maintenance (PM) is of great significance to prolong service life of the asphalt pavement and save life cycle cost. Asphalt pavement preventive maintenance of medium and low traffic flow roads in the city Cangzhou Hebei province is studied in this paper. First, the pavement performance of these roads were investigated and analyzed. Second, established the evaluation system of PM, and used the set pairs analysis when establish the comprehensive evaluation model to make the evaluation result be more accord with the fact.
