ABSTRACT The mathematics view is the view and original understanding of mathematics essence． mathematical ideas and the connections between mathematics and the surrounding world．A student’s mathematics view decides his learning action．and his ability to deal with the practical problems by means of mathematics．It also affects his opinion to math and even the world． Academician Wang Zikun points out that mathematics has made great contribution to the following aspects：firmly to the development of science，especially high-tech；secondly,to the cultivation of scientific researchers；thirdly,to the prosperity of economy construction；fourthly,to the scientific thought of the whole nation．No other science can be comparable to mathematics in this sense．There are several hundred engineering technology colleges and universities in our country,which are the base of cultivating high—level engineering technology talents，and a base for providing all kinds of engineers and technicians as．well as new technology and the new products for the national economic development．Therefore it is important for the students of engineering technology colleges to have a good mathematics view．And college student’s mathematics view education should become an important component in mathematics education．Consequently,the research on the engineering technology college students’mathematics view should also become an important aspect of mathematics view research． In view of this．1 carry out a survey about the situation of the mathematics view among engineering technology college students．I hope this research can benefit the mathematical education．it is also the main purpose of this study．Questionnaire and interview are applied in this research．The original date is collected from 276 students who are from 8 classes respectively in Ningbo University of Technology．The data from questionnaire are analyzed by using SPSS statistical software；the others are analyzed by using qualitative methods． The investigation
