METHODS: GGastric emptyying times weere observed by type-B ulltrasonographhy after ingeestion of liqquid meal . MMotilin levell of plasma oon an empty sstomach was iinvestigated by radioimmuunoassay. RESSULTS: 120miin after ingeestion of liqquid meal, thhe rate of reesidue in thee stomach of children witth obesity annd malnutritiion and healtth control grroup was resppectively (7..4±4.0)%, (233.4±5.6)% andd (14.2±10.5))%, (Plt;0.005). 100% gasstric emptyinng times of oobesity, malnnutrition andd the controll group were respectivelyy (147±28) miin (176±18) mmin and (169±±47) min. Thee emptying tiime of childrren with malnnutrition wass higher thann that of chiildren with oobesity and tthe control ggroup (Plt;00.05). 60 minn after ingesstion of liquuid meal, thee peristalsiss frequency oof gastric coorpus in the three groupss was (4.2±0..6) min, (4.66±0.6) min annd (2.5±0.3) min respectiively (Plt;00.01) and thee contractivee frequency oof gastric attrium was resspectively (22.7±0.4) min (3.8±0.6) miin and (3.7±00.9) min. Thee motilin on an empty stoomach of chilldren with obbesity was (4443±83) ng#112539;L-1 andd that of chiildren with mmalnutrition was (219±66)) ng#12539;LL-1 . Motilinn level on ann empty stomaach of obese children wass higher thann that of mallnutrition chhildren (Pltt;0.05). CONNCLUSION: Thhe liquid gasstric emptyinng in childreen with obesiity is more rrapid than thhat of childrren with malnnutrition andd the controll group.
