Show a flash 2. Have the students discuss what they would like to buy for New Year’s Day. T: What do you like for New Year’s Day?( Show some pictures) 3. Make a dialogue go shopping T: Ok, let’s go to the shop and do some shopping. e.g. T: I like the sweets. What do you like? Ss: I like the firecrackers. 1.Sing a song Happy New Year 2. Look and say S1: I like the sweet. S2: I like the dress. S3: I like the fireworks. 3. Make a dialogue with friends 活跃课堂气氛,唱一唱本单元的歌曲,起到复习的作用。 既是复习,又是本课教学内容。 While-task procedure 1. Have the students listen to the dialogue of “Listen and act” on Student’s book page 44. 2. Make a dialogue with students T: Happy New Year, Children. Ss: Happy New Year. T: A New year card for you. Ss: Thank you. T: You are wele. This is a New Year card. I can make a card. Can you make a card? 3. Make a card Have the students mimic your actions and repeat the words e.g. Draw …. 4. Then ask the students to make a New Year card. Listen and say Greet with the teacher. Look and say 4.
