Methods Samples were analyzed on a Phenomenex Gemini C18 (250 mm 4.6 mm, 5 m) column using methyl alcohol 0.1% H3PO4 (80:20) as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL / min and UV detection wavelength was 254 nm. The column temperature was 25 . Results Contents of rhein and sennoside A in the extracts of rhubarb were 7.24 mg / g and 10.28 mg / g, repectively. Conclusion The method is simple and reproducible, which could be used for the analysis of rhein and sennoside A in rhubarb extracts.
