Expression and clinical significance of RhoC and IQGAP1 in colon Cancer Abstact Objective：To Study the expression and their correlation of RhoC (Ras homologous C) and IQGAP 1(IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 1) protein in colon carcinoma,for discussing their role and clinical significance in the development of colon cancer, and preliminary study correlations in colon cancer Method ：We collecte 80 patients paraffin samples of operation cutting for colon cancer during January 2011-December 2011 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College. Immunohistochemistry(SP method) measured the expression of RhoC and IQGAP 1 protein in colon carcinoma tissues. With 30 cases of paracancerous tissues as control group, analysing the correlation of the two factors and the relationship between colon cancer and prognosis. Results： 1. RhoC and IQGAP 1 expression in colon cancer rate was 66.25% (53/80) and 71.25% (57/80), respectively, higher than the paracancerous tissues, and the difference was statistically significant. 2. RhoC expression in colon cancer is closely relate to TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and differentiation (P 0.05), but not to gender, age, tumor size (P 0.05) 3. IQGAP 1 expression in colon cancer is closely relate to TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and differentiation (P 0.05), but not to gender, age, tumor size (P 0.05) 4. A positive correlation is observed between the expression of RhoC and that of IQGAP 1 in colon cancer (r=0.598,P 0.001). Conclusions: 1. Both of RhoC and IQGAP 1 expresse highly in colon cancer tissue and are closely related with the process of colon cancer happen ，invasion and metastasis ． 2. RhoC and IQGAP 1
