Abstract: With China’s accession to the WTO and the Olympic bid’s success, the students work and learn English using verbal and written communication opportunities for more and more how to improve listening and speaking ability of students has become a topic of concern. According to hear a leading teaching principles and teaching objectives, combined with Yunnan University of Finance and the actual teaching of English to explore the conditions of the network multimedia listening teaching how to effectively achieve. Teachers need to adopt new teaching methods, through different forms of teaching and learning activities, so that listening instruction throughout the teaching of English in order to effectively improve students listening.

1, the traditional problems encountered in teaching listening
Hearing the traditional teaching is the greatest obstacle to hearing backward or obsolete equipment. In disadvantaged urban and mountainous areas, teachers, school equipment to rely on only a tape recorder, if the obsolete equipment, then playback will appear when the mechanical failure, thus affecting the effectiveness of hearing students and teachers progress of teaching.
