Abstract: The self-learning and constructivist theory, to build “self-learning students ‘trilogy’ of English teaching mode” and part of Shanxi University of Finance and 2008 classes in the pilot which mode is selected by the pre-class learning, classroom presentations and after-school feedback, the purpose is to explore the network technology combined with the teaching of English to develop English language proficiency of students in an effective way of this teaching not only improve the efficiency of student learning and develop students self-learning ability.
Keywords: Network Environment “trilogy” teaching self-learning ability 1 Introduction The concept of self-study in the 1960s with the cognitive psychology and humanistic psychology, the rise and develop. Foreign researchers the ability to define autonomy in foreign language learning (Holec1981; Diekinson1993; Littlewood1999) and to develop these capabilities theoretical basis, the curriculum and empirical research (Wenden1991; Dickinson amp; Wenden1995; Cotterall amp; Crabe1999: Cotterall 2000) a great deal of discussion. China’s foreign language community from the late 1980s, started to engage in self-study areas, from how to promote learner autonomy Theoretical studies (eg Xiao Fei 2002; Deng Pengming 2004) to how to foster learner autonomy empirical research (eg, Peng Jin-Ding 2002, Huawei Fen 2003), to develop learner autonomy from the necessity and feasibility studies (eg, Qi Hongbo 2004 , Lei Xiao, 2005) to the independent learning ability of research (He Lianzhen, 2003, Xu Jinfen and others 2004), but more than 80% of the study belong to a general theoretical discussion, the lack of empirical research.
