The Story of Leizu is a biography novel of the Chinese ancient mythological figures. It belongs to the category of literary works. This book covers many aspects including mythology, society, economy, history, politics, culture, and folk custom. And its language has four characteristics: literary, mythological, imaginative, and biographical. Aiming at presenting these characteristics in my translation, this paper applied Yanfu’s translation theory of “faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance” in the translation process. This paper successfully solved following problems in the translation process: Firstly, the specific application of the theory of “faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance” in the translation process of the biography novel of Chinese ancient mythological figures; As for language style, this translation weighed every word, and drew on others’ successful experience. The readers could not only appreciate flowery words and sentences, but also feel the original language style in the maximum extent.
