Based on refocusing trend in the Western developed countries in the 1970s, diversification strategy was caused widely questioned. Even today, Academia has not yet been a consensus that diversification strategy is on earth “Pie” or “trap” on the part of enterprises. Clearly, SMEs play a very important role in our national economy, at the same time, diversification strategy is able to promote small and medium enterprises to undergo profound changes, then, whether the diversification of behavior are systematic differences between SMEs and large enterprises? Whether diversification strategy performance for SMEs in Chinas transition economy is significant regional differences? Empirical studies of domestic and foreign SMEs diversified performance, as well as geographical differences are still quite rare. On the basis of analyzing and grasping the actual situation of huge regional differences in China, depth analysis of the geographical differences in characteristics of the diversification strategy for SMEs Performance can provide targeted decision-making reference for the different geographical diversification strategy for SMEs’ selection. On the basis of referencing and learning from domestic and international research results, the thesis chooses the small and medium-sized enterprises which listed in Shenzhen stock exchange before 2007 as sample, but also it set up multiple linear regression analysis of econometric models based on annual panel data.
