Based on the diamond model theory， the paper analyzes the competitive advantage of Nanyang Technological University from the aspects of strategy， factor conditions， demand conditions， related and supporting industries etc. The finding is that Nanyang Technological University has possessed competitive advantage in a short period by making full use of the development opportunities， setting clear strategic positioning， combining such elements as human and academic resources， positioning the social need， improving the relationships between the university and the government， between the university and the society， and between the university and the enterprise. The successful experience of Nanyang Technological University is worth our study.
