But all the discussions are not so profound ，especially have no general introduction on the development of REITs in America. Sometimes，REIT is misunderstood and confused with other conceptions Backed by the overall introduction of history and reality of the REIT industry in America， the paper intends to describe and disclose the system characters and development rules of REITs. Furthermore ，the necessity‘ possibility and model selections are discussed in the paper There are three sections in the whole pape r. In the first section，the paper generally presents the system assignments ，characters，types of REIT，and the differences between RE1T and the other economic organizations or tinancial instruments.
