摘 要 Abstract Objectives In the study we detected serum silicon, urine silicon in workers by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and combined with the serum level of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) to investigate the meaning and values of silicon as a biomarker in the early diagnosis and pathogenesis of silicosis. Methods 1 The recruited subjects: workers exposed to silicious dust more than 1 years in a iron mine were selected as our silica exposure group (n=736), those who quited form dust exposed for more than 1 years as our escaped group (n=24), staff without silica exposure served as our control group (n=120), diagnosed silicosis patients served as our patient group (n=38), and other patients who had not yet been diagnosed with silicosis served as observing group (n=9). All the people come from the same iron mine. 2 Epidemiological surveys: Self-made questionnaire was used to collect general information on all subjects including age, gender, smoking, alcohol consumption, smoking history, past medical history, occupational protection and so on. 3 Biological sample collection: EP tube anticoagulants was used to collect the blood samples(workers exposed to silica 138 cases, healthy people 41cases, silicosis patients 112 cases ). 15ml centrifugal tube was prepared for collecting the urine samples. All samples were stored in -20℃ refrigerator. 4 Serum silicon, urine silicon in vivo were detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS); Serum transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in each group were determined with ELISA. 5 Statistical analysis：All data were showed as x ? s . The statistics methods include ANOVA, t test and person correlation. P0.05 was considered statistically significant.
