教学设计Analysis of the reading:The True North是人教版新课标高中英语必修3 第五单元的内容。本课围绕去加拿大旅游游记这一主题展开听、说、读、写等活动,让学生不仅对加拿大有了基本的了解,掌握了游记的写作方式,还加强了跨国文化意识。Analysis of the students:The students are very active and interested in the topic of travel. They should try to improve their reading skills and speed , and then learn to use the knowledge in dialogue.
Teaching aims:1. To help the students learn something about Canada.2. To help the students learn the structure of a narration.3. To use some reading skills:skimming and careful reading.4. To help the students develop the ability to make a dialogue with their partners.
