Key points: 1.How to describe the symptom . 1)What’s the matter /wrong(with you)? 2)What seems to be the trouble? 3)I have a(sore)...... 4)body part +hurt(s) =hurt(s)+ body parts 2. How to describe the symptom. 1)How do you feel? 2)I’m not feeling well. 3)I feel under the weather. 4)I’m not feeling myself. 5)I feel like hell. Teaching aids: video, ppt. Teaching steps: Step One Greetings Say Good afternoon to the students. Step Two Lead-in Play two short videos for the students. The first video: Body parts song Review the word they’ve learned . The second video: Big hero 6 Show a picture of Big hero 6and say “ Have you seen it ?Do you know who he is ?What’s his job? Let’s review the video ” Then ,ask them what the Baymax ’s job. Ask them: 1.Baymax cares about _health___. 2.He will work if you say Awww. Awww means hurt. What will you say when you have something wrong. Please discuss the question with your partner. Step Three Discussion ( Group work) First, divide them into two groups. Team Master and team Monkey King .Discuss how to express health problems and use the phrases you’ve learned. Step Four Presentation 1.Sum up all the useful expressions they learned and teach a new way to ask .What seems to be the trouble? 2.Show description words and ask students to describe the symptom with them. I have a (sore)+body parts. Step Five pair work. 1. Let them to ask and answer with their partner. 2.Check the conversation .(use the picture of Baymax) 3.The group who is better one will get one flag. Step Six Practice Show five pictures and ask them to say it first, the first one will get one flag. Step Seven Presentation To introduce another way to ask and say the feeling in general. How’s it going ? Explain the meaning they’ve learned ,then explain the meaning in this lesson . Explain four sentences I’m not
