Teaching aims:1. Students can learn the four words: “spend pay cost take ”by heart.
Students can tell the differences among the four words
3 . Students can use the four words in their daily life smoothly.
Important points: the uses of the four words “spend pay cost take ”.
Difficult points : the differences among the the four words “spend pay cost take ”.
Teaching methods: drilling, “Task-based” teaching
Teaching preparation: electric medium , ppt, picture cards
Teaching procedures :
Step 1 Warming up:
Let students read a short story about a student going shopping and visiting his grandparents using the four words “spend pay cost take ”
Step 2 Presentation:
Leading in: I show the students a short story with the background of music, and I let them pick the key words “spend pay cost take ”
2.Learning:
(1) I show the key phrases “spend +time/money+(in) doing sth/on sth ” and let students pay attention to the subject of this word.
(This is a very important point in the final exam and students can make mistakes easily, so I want them to pay more attention to this word.)
