Methods Porphobilin staining of gastric mucosa of 86 cases in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group and 42 cases in normal group were measured by quantitative diagnosis. 24 hour intragastric bilirubin monitoring was measured by using Bilitec 2000 and time percentage of bilirubin absorbance ≥ was used as threshold to evaluate the severity of bile reflux. Results The deposition of porphobilin in mucosa of gastric antrum, gastric anguli and gastric body in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group were significantly severer than those of normal group (P＜). The deposition of porphobilin in mucosa of gastric antrum and gastric anguli were significantly severer than those of gastric body in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group (P＜). The deposition of porphobilin in mucosa of gastric antrum and gastric anguli were positively correlated with New Sydney system pathological scores of gastric antrum and gastric anguli in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group (r=, P= and r=, P=). The deposition of porphobilin in mucosa of gastric body was not correlated with New Sydney system pathological scores of gastric body in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group (r=, P=).The deposition of porphobilin in mucosa of gastric antrum and gastric anguli were positively correlated with time percentage of bilirubin absorbance ≥ in primary pathological duodenogastric reflux group (r=, P= and r=,P=).
