在真实情境中和同伴谈论自己喜欢的动物,并运用形容词来说明自己喜欢动物的原因。
教学过程
Step1: Review
(Purpose: To arouse students’ interests; To help students to think about different animals and make sure they are very familiar with words about animal.)
Invite students to play a guessing game to review animals students have learned.
Teach students the new words---shy friendly.
Steps2: Lead in
Show some pictures of animals and ask students to look and say.
---What are their names ?
---Where are they from?
talk about animals you like and you dont like. Where are they from? Give students one example and remind students to pay attention to the reds words.
Steps3: Pre-listening
Guide students to read the instruction of 1a.
Then guide students to talk about animals in 1a by using the description words. Students are supposed to describe animals with the giving adjectives more than once. Eg. ---What do you think of elephants?---I think they are smart and friendly.
Summarize how to use the negative words and positive words.
Steps4: While-listening
Look at 1b and 1c to predict.---who are talking?---What are they talking about?
Let students listen to the tape and circle the describe words they hear in 1b. Lead students to focus on adjectives.
Then, check the answers.
Listen to the tape again, and write down the description words in the chart.
Check answers by practicing the target sentence structure.
Steps5: Post-listening
Brainstorm to mesmerize how to talk about animals.
Invite students to talk with their partners. Complete the chart and then make a report to report their favorite animals.
