Building on the solid infrastructure of intersectoral partnership and community participation as a result of its implementation over a decade, Sai Kung District started to incorporate “Safe Community” alongside the promotion of health in early 2006. As such, efforts have been put in the following areas to promote safety awareness and reduce accidents and injuries in the last few years: Home safety: domestic use of electricity, gas and fire prevention; domestic violence Transport safety
