中美高等工程教育本科课程设置的比较 ——以上海交通大学和麻省理工学院为例 龚　玉 陈　敏 （华东师范大学 上海 200062） [摘 要] 以中国上海交通大学与美国麻省理工学院两所大学为例，本文分别从实践课程和理论课程、选修 课程和必修课程、人文课程和理工课程、基础课程和专业课程四个角度对两校高等工程教育本科课程设置 进行比较。认为我国高等工程教育本科课程设置和改革应注意以下几点：夯实理论知识，锻炼实践能力， 培养通理论、能实干的高级工程人才；完善必修课程，增设选修课程，培养高素质、宽领域的高级工程人 才；强化理工课程，关注人文课程，培养有特色、多学科的高级工程人才；拓宽基础课程，精化专业课 程，培养厚基础、精业务的高级工程人才。 [关键词] 高等工程教育；课程设置；本科教育 中图分类号：G640 文献标识码：A 文章编号：1673-7164（2009）06-0086-05 Comparative Analysis in Curriculum Setting of Higher Engineering Education between China and America ——Taking SJTU and MIT for Example GONG Yu CHEN Min (East China Normal University Shanghai 200062) Abstract: Taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology as examples, this article compared their undergraduate curriculum setting of higher engineering education from the perspective of practical courses and theoretical courses, elective courses and required courses, humanities courses and polytechnic courses, basic courses and specialized courses. The article maintains that undergraduate courses set and reform of China’s higher engineering education should note the following: solid theoretical knowledge, strengthen practical ability and train senior project personnel who are good at both theoretical and practical ability; improve the required courses, increase elective courses, to train engineering personnel with high quality and wide knowledge field; strengthen the polytechnic courses, concerned about the humanities courses, train unique and multidisciplinary senior project personnel; broaden the basic courses, refine specialized courses, train senior engineering talents with thick foundation and profi cient knowledge.
