Abstract title】 International Information Keywords: in American Higher Education / Information Literacy Competency / Analysis / Reflection 【Text】 Information literacy has become a part of modern cultural qualities, information literacy ability of the information society on the core issues of human development. Therefore, “information literacy” concept has now become a hot topic in education. The United States as represented by information technology, developed countries have made a positive response and the development of corresponding standards. The United States established in 1998, nine high school students information literacy standards, January 18, 2000, the U.S. Association for the Study Higher Education Library (ACRL) in the meeting of the American Library Association midwinter meeting considered and adopted the “American Higher Education Information Literacy Competency Standards “(Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education). The standard is divided into three sections: standards, performance indicators and results. There are five criteria 22 performance indicators and a number of sub-projects.
