创意与设计 | 创意设计与美学 Creative Design and Aesthetics 023 数字艺术：艺术传统的转折和延续 文/昃跃峰（江南大学 数字媒体学院） Digital Art :Art Traditions Transition And Continuation 摘要： 西方艺术传统最大的特点之一就是艺术和科学之间的融合，本篇文章是一份针对数字艺术和西方艺术传统间之间关系而展现 的学术思考。通常来说，我们认为数字艺术是后现代艺术的一个领域，它的形式是来自于信息科技和艺术创作之间的融合，但它的出 现却是酝酿于20世纪初开始的西方前卫艺术运动。再此前提下，本篇论文对数字艺术的探讨将会以西方艺术传统的历史发展为主要思 考范围。作者会尝试解答为何数字艺术可以被认为是西方艺术传统的延续，这里艺术传统是指造型技术和审美表达向科学技术借鉴的 传统。而后，作者还会尝试解答为何数字艺术是完全不同于之前所有的艺术，无论在造型手段方面还是在和科学知识联系的方面。总之， 本篇文章是同通过分析西方4个主要历史时期中艺术创作的特点来向读者阐明为何数字艺术同时是艺术传统的继承和转折。 Abstract: This article is a reflection on digital art in its relationships with the western artistic tradition—the tradition based on the complex articulations between the arts and the sciences. The digital art is an art technological characterized by the post-modernity, and it emerge in the western cultural revolution of the 20th century in which contemporary technologies have played a central role. Next to this concept, the analysis set up in this article will be limited in the perspective of the historical change of western artistic tradition. The author will show why digital art could be thought as a continuity of western plastic arts who were strongly characterized by their technicity and by their refrence to siences. The author will show otherwise how the digital art has introduced a radical break with all the old plastic arts both at the level of the technical representation and at the level of the reports to scientific knowledge.
