AbstractWith the civil air industry’s rapid development, the competition of the air market becomes fiercer day by day. All airlines make efforts on finding the way reduce the operational cost effectively. The aircraft spare parts always consume a lot of money and make it a heavy burden on the airlines. Accordingly, the aircraft spare part inventory management becomes very important to reduce the operation cost and improves the competitiveness of the airlines. This thesis focuses on the inventory management practice on aircraft spare parts in has analyzed Henan branch China Southern Airlines. Several models are established to solve the problems encountered and reasonable measures are put forward accordingly.This thesis examines mainly four issues on the aircraft spare parts management, i.e., planning, spare parts classification, inventory model for Type A and Type B spare parts. After analyzing the planning rules and breakdown data curve, an optimized plan making method is raised. By applying the ABC classification method, a new schema is carried to the aircraft spare part, which makes the material control become more scientific and effective. After analysis of consuming rules for different spare parts, the inventory models to type A and type B are modeled respectively. Specially, type A models are based on the Poisson’s distribution and validated by real instances and type B models are based on EOQ model.The methods in this thesis can be used to solve the real problems very well and hasstrong potency in practice to other airlines.Key words：Aircraft spare part；Inventory Control；Cost Optimization； Poisson’s Distribution目录摘要...............................................................................................................
