Ab Abstract I II The Commercial Bank Efficiency Comparison Research between China and the United States Abstract Since the 1990s, along with the quickening of the global economic integration and financial internationalization process, it’s a very important research content for domestic and foreign financial academics and financial regulators among countries to study the commercial bank efficiency problems. We can find out the key factors that influence China’s domestic commercial bank efficiency from the study of domestic commercial bank efficiency, thus can provide advice to improve domestic bank efficiency. According to the comparative study of commercial bank efficiency between different countries, it can be concluded that whether the country’s commercial bank efficiency is high or low, and the existing differences between different countries’ commercial bank. So it can be better to learn other national commercial bank high efficiency management experience, thus can achieve the goal of improving the overall domestic commercial bank efficiency. This paper uses DEA method and structures the Malmquist TFP index model to measure static efficiency and dynamic efficiency changes from 2006 to 2011 between China and the United States commercial banks, on this basis this paper structures the econometric model based on the panel data to analyze the influence factors of commercial bank efficiency respectively between China and the United States. The results showed that during the research period, the American commercial banks overall mean technical efficiency higher than Chinas, but the two countries commercial bank Malmquist TFP productivity increase almost consistent; The main factors that influence the United States commercial bank efficiency are asset allocation, stability, innovation ability and profitability, however, the main factors that affect the efficiency of Chinas commercial banks are asset scale, profitability and risk factors.
