II II Abstract Philosophy of mathematics ， as a marginal subject between mathematics and philosophy, is the most foundamental subject about mathematics and its development; is to study the mathematical object, nature and methods from the point of view of ontology, epistemology and methodology. As the guiding ideology of mathematics, mathematics thought is subordinate to the specific mathematics, and is profound understanding about mathematics, the nature of mathematics and the laws of mathematics. And the philosophy of mathematics thought explains the mathematics thought from the ontology, epistemology and methodology of philosophy, and is the abstract of mathematics thought and the procedure of the philosophy of mathematics. There is a difference among the three concepts, but they are consistent that they are based on history of mathematics, and they are complementary to each other and are utilized together. How to study Berkeleys philosophy of mathematics thought in this paper? Laterally, it is an outline of philosophy of mathematics “problem”, and expounds the disputation of mathematics thought on the mathematician of Berkeley contemporaries; vertically, it is an outline of the history of mathematics, and analyzes the abstractionist philosophy of mathematics that Berkeley objects strongly, and the history of “infinitesimal”. Connotationally, it analyzes profoundly the Berkeley mathematics thought about geometry, arithmetic, algebra and mathematical language; denotationally, it dissertates congcentratedly the core of the Berkeley’s philosophy of mathematics -- criticizing Newton-Leibniz’s thought of the differential calculus. Philosophy of mathematics and mathematics thought are intertwined mutually, thus gradually display a mathematical principle -- “thought infiltrating philosophy” that it researches mathematics and history of mathematics.
