Method: To collect 149 cases chronic pharyngitis over the age of 18 in ENT Clinic of Chengdu University of TCM（Traditional Chinese Medicine） from July 2008 to December 2008，filling out the symptom questionnaire. The findings of the syndrome were analyzed through SPSS11.5 statistical software： ① General information and characterization of TCM: using descriptive statistical methods, to descrip the percentage of the various statistical characterization。 ② Differentiation of chronic pharyngitis type: in accordance with the eight principal、 organ differentiation, respectively, permit the calculation of the number and percentage of type。 ③ To analyze the characterizations by cluster analysis ， identifying evidence-based classification 。 ④ Analyzing each type of chronic pharyngitis by principal component analysis to determine the principal clinical characterization. Results: General information on clinical analysis: chronic pharyngitis occur in middle-aged. Local complications such as chronic sinusitis see often, too many people with a good voice fat.
