Warm-up Greetings: Good morning/afternoon, class! Lead-in: T: Today, we will talk about Chinese New Year. What do you know about it? Have you ever celebrated it? Show some pictures about Chinese New Year and let students talk about them. 2. Presentation T: Now let’s look at some sentences. Can you tell me which are positive or negative? My parents are always very strict with me. (negative) I am very happy when I get a good grade. (positive) T: What word is used to describe the feeling in the sentences? strict happy T: Yes, they are called adjectives. Do you know what is an adjective? Adjectives are words used to describe or modify nouns or pronouns. They give more information to the sentence. Give some examples: red, yellow, blue… happy, sad, angry… big, small, tiny… Discuss with students to make sure they understand the concept of adjectives. 3. Practice T: Now let’s look at this sentence.
