inJapangrew11%,or¥237billion($1.6billion),in

January,accordingtodatacompiledbyBloomberg.

FactoringinthegainsofIndianstocksontheyenbasis

lastmonth,thefiguressuggestinflowsofabout¥140

billionintoIndiaequityfunds,whileJapanesestock

fundshadalmostnonetinflows.
